Construction and Design Management Regulation 2007 set out requirements for safety process for building, refurbishment and other works. Projects that are encompassed by these Regulations either require 500 ‘man hours’ or greater than the duration of 30 days in order to complete the Construction phase.
CDM Coordinator (Construction Design Management Coordinator)
First Environment is able to assist clients in performing the role of CDM Coordinator, also assisting the other duty holders in fulfilling their obligations under the CDM Regulations 2007. Principal Duty Holders under the CDM Regulations 2007 include the Client, Architect, CDM Coordinator & Principal Contractor.
The CDM Coordinator is appointed by the Client but does not take the ultimate liability away from the Client. The CDM Coordinator advises and ensures that measures are implemented, if required to ensure compliance.
